I subscribed online to a ONE MONTH TRIAL for Dropbox Business. To my surprise, I found out from my credit card statement that I was charged $750 for the ANNUAL subscription. I have a problem with Dropbox that cannot be easily resolved over email and can't be solved using their online references. Unfortunately they do not provide phone call customer service to Dropbox Pro users. I instead have sent and received 12 emails related to my issue. I have given them about $300 so far for an account that I no longer can access. I think it is reasonable for me to call someone in their customer service department, effectively... Read more

Dropbox deducted $1019 from my personal credit card without my knowledge & authority. I only use Dropbox once 2 or 3 years & it is only a small amount of data - 50mb Bastards

Dropbox told me that it's business edition would be 15.95 per person. It also refused to sync between my two computers. I had less than 250G worth of information in my various folders some shared with others. It suggested that I sign up for Dropbox business, which I did. I am contacting the better business bureau about dropbox as I write this. I signed up for the 30 day trial in order to use an account with larger storage, and enable other people to share files. The website is anything but user friendly and we found it impossible to use, furthermore they offer virtually no support on the issues. I cancelled my account with Dropbox over a year ago because their service was unsatisfactory and customer service non-existent. They started charging my credit card again for $99 on May 2016 and again on June 2016 for $99. Their Pro account equals $8.25 per month X 12 months = $99. Sharing files from my Dropbox folder has become a pain. Why were changes made? In the past my friends would click on the link and be able to access a thumbnail sheet of photos. They could then choose, enlarge, and scroll through the entire batch. Now they go through an unfathomable litany of instructions and permissions. I reluctantly opened a Dropbox acct in order to get photos from a photographer. I understood the acct was about $9/month and I was in for less than a month when they stole $750! from PayPal acct. Of course they are not answering their 888 phone number, what a surprise. So now I have paid the photographer separately for these photos AND Dropbox is paid an additional fee for each photo? I am a photographer with 0 staff. Apparently although I let dropbox know that I did not have a "team", when my Free Trial ran out they charged me for extensive coverage for many team players. 750$ for a year. There is no phone number. I was able to chat online to try and reverse the charges and/or switch the membership since there is no way I need this type of membership, all to no avail. I followed the steps to cancel my subscription and then was charged another monthly fee weeks later. I wrote customer service and they said they could not refund the monthly charge. When I reviewed the canceling process again, I learn that you had to cancel twice and the second time the canceling button was transparent. It appeared as already pressed or activated.
